This is your route in and out of the Arena. The front desk area covers: Booking In Desks - where you buy or pick up your Delegate Passes; a Customer Services Desk - to answer any queries you may have (excluding the accommodation - see below) and will also act as a Lost and Found; Game Ticket Sales - where you buy tickets for the games on offer (note that you can only buy two tickets per event) - this position will also have a clear display of ticket status, so you can see if the game you want to play is sold out without having to queue. MegaDungeon - Survivor |
![]() |
||||
The World Of MegaDungeon - SurvivorIn the beginning the Gods of Olde created the universe. From great balls of fire emerged stars and planets as they each moulded their part to reflect themselves. Out of this maelstrom the aspects of alignment grew and it is this reflection of the old gods that is their eternal mark. But the world of MegaDungeon - Survivor was not marked so it was done on a slightly cheaper special effects budget! Now there is only EVIL and NOT EVIL. You are not evil and must crush the evil that exists in the world. Evil is found everywhere, but mainly (and conveniently) in dungeons. So pick up your weapon of choice and head for those dark corridors and rooms. There is a whole new world out there just waiting for you to kick down the door, slay the evil monsters and grab the treasure. See the MegaDungeon - Survivor web page for details of how to build your own hero and to find out more about the world of MegaDungeon - Survivor. Pre-generated characters and character sheets will be available in plentiful supply (as always) on the day. Open Gaming Area |
![]() |

The Open Gaming (also known as the DOGs or Delegate Organised Games) area has been set aside for the playing of games that are organised by the delegate. This simple statement covers a wide variety of games and this is intentional. Anything; from board games to wargames, card games to roleplaying games, and everything in between, can be played in the Open Gaming Area. Of course, there are some rules in place to stop abuses of this free gaming area, which is provided on a first come, first served basis:
To assist in organisation, a notice board and sign-up sheets will be made available. So, if you've just picked up that board game in the trade hall, or fancy a quiet card game, or want to try out a new roleplaying system or scenario, then the Open Gaming Area is there for you. Gen Con Uk's Trade Exhibitor Hall will have on display the finest and latest games and game accessories available. Roleplayers will be able to find dice, books, and miniatures and card players may be lucky enough to discover that one card which will make their deck perfect or complete their long-collected set. Some of the retailers and publishers will also be demonstrating their latest products. The Trade Hall is also a home to the Artists Corner where you can purchase some of the most exquisite fantasy art available in the UK or maybe have one or more of the artists sketch your partner or favourite character. The Bring'n'Buy stall this year, with your 15% commission on sales, is supporting children's charity ECHO (Evalina Children's Hospital Organisation) which helps families and children who are in Guy's Hospital in London. Finally, for those of you who find spending your money thirsty work, we have a small caf and bar where you can enjoy a bottled or canned drink - sorry but due to technical reasons there is no draught beer at this watering hole. A trip round the Trade Hall is always an important event at any games convention so be sure to drop in and perhaps discover that all important item, gift or "must-have" that will make your visit to Gen Con UK a most memorable one. Artists and Special Guests As usual, there will be an array of special guests and artists to inspire and entertain you... so far, subject to work commitments, we have the following people confirmed to attend:
Naturally, there are many more Artists and Special Guests in the pipeline, and updates will appear on the website as the confirmations come in... so check there on a regular basis!
