GuildsWithin the newly repaired Iron Stone Temple and surrounding town there are a number of Guilds that players can join. These provide in benefits and are potential source of adventures. Currently the Guilds are: - Defenders Guild - Guild of fighters, rangers and Barbarians.
Joining this guild gives the player 10% off weapon and armour prices in the Players Handbook v3.5 - Arcane Guild - Guild of wizards and sorcerers.
Joining this guild gives the player 10% of arcane potions, scrolls, rings, rods, staves, wands and magical items that are not clerical or weapons and armour. - Guild of Scouts and Runners - Guild for Rogues and Bards.
Joining this guild gives the player 5% off everything they buy. - Guild of the Eternal Flame - Guild for Clerics, Druids and Paladins.
Joining this guild provides you with 10% off all clerical based magical equipment (scrolls, potions etc) and 10% off healing costs (resurrection and restoration etc.)
Players may only join a guild if they have a level in an appropriate class. The guilds will provide other benefits to members when they are considered to be of high enough standing and/or performed favours for the guild. Should you complete a mission requested by a guild and you are a memeber of the guild then you may receive additional reward if the task is completed. For all adventures into unknown territory the Guild of Scouts and Runners will provide cash rewards for the supply of maps and information on the dungeons below. There are other guilds in the Iron Stone Temple and these are listed below: - Guild of Masons - This is an ancient dwarven guild for the support of the stone masons and their skill.
- Guild of the Deep - This is another ancient dwarven guild for the support of the miners and their skill.
- Guild of Beards - Very little is known about this guild and noone would admit to be a member. But it is suspected that members of this guild wield a lot of power and influence. Members also wear beards.
These guilds are not open to players at the start of their adventuring career, however these guilds may request adventures to perform tasks. Membership of these guilds is highly selective but also highly rewarding. Their missions are also somewhat more risky than the regular requests a player may be requested to perform. |
